Jumbo tramples farmer to death

Erode: A 44-year-old farmer was trampled to death by a wild elephant near Bhavanisagar early Wednesday while trying to scare the animal away.

K Kanagaraj and his family were asleep when the elephant entered around 1am, said police."They tried to scare away the elephant when it attacked Kanagaraj," police said. He was rushed to a govt hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
