ERODE: International Anti-Corruption Day is observed on December 9th every year with the aim of eradicating corruption internationally. To mark the day, Gopi Jagan Metal Mart organised a painting competition at Vadukapalayam Government School near Modachur on Thursday to raise awareness of a corruption-free India among students.
The competition attracted 100 participants, of whom nine winning students were awarded shields.
The first three places were in one category, the fourth to sixth in another and the seventh and eighth in a third. Gopi Jagan Metal Mart owner Balasingh presented stainless steel water bottles, footballs and coloured pencils to all 100 students who took part in the awareness programme.
