Yadav accuses Kejriwal of betrayal, claims AAP’s credibility is now at an all-time low
NEW DELHI: Delhi Congress president Devender Yadav claimed on Thursday that anticipating an electoral defeat, AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal was trying to restore his damaged reputation and declining support base by blaming others.
"Kejriwal and his colleagues Sanjay Singh, Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain are out of jail on bail in the liquor scam and money laundering cases, and the sword of arrest is hanging over them yet again," Yadav said on a day AAP demanded that Congress be thrown out of the INDIA bloc if it fails to take disciplinary action against its senior functionaries. AAP accused Congress of colluding with BJP and trying to harm its prospects in the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls.
Yadav claimed that AAP was paying a heavy price for playing the role of BJP's B-team and the party's credibility had hit a new low after Delhi Congress released a 12-point white paper on its "black deeds" on Wednesday. "It fully exposed Kejriwal's corruption and betrayal of the people who reposed faith in him, expecting a transparent and honest govt."
Delhi govt's own departments have issued a notice to caution the public that Kejriwal's poll promises for women and senior citizens had no cabinet approval, the Congress functionary said. By collecting personal details of voters in the guise of registering their names for these schemes, common people are being defrauded, he alleged.
Yadav claimed that Kejriwal, who was brought to the political scene of Delhi by BJP and RSS with activist Anna Hazare as a mask, now found that his former colleagues had become his enemies, for which Congress couldn't be blamed. He said Delhi Congress' consistent stand that Kejriwal was dangerous for the people of Delhi was vindicated when the AAP convener was jailed for alleged corruption, along with his colleagues.
Yadav claimed that during his month-long Delhi Nyay Yatra, people told him that Congress should not have aligned with the "corruption-tainted" AAP in the Lok Sabha elections. He said people felt that had Congress fought the elections alone, its candidates would have won.
He said AAP's zero support base in Haryana was clear when its candidates lost security deposits in 99% of the seats despite its big guns campaigning for the candidates.

Lying comes very easily to Kejri. He is all the time lying and accusing others when HE is himself highly guilty of many misdeeds. He has STILL NOT cares to give ANY explanation for the over 50 CRORES of expenditure for just "REPAIRS" to the Palace that he lived in as CM. He has no moral right to be the CM of Delhi again.Read allPost comment
