Aishe Ghosh was elected JNUSU president in September 2019.
Ghosh, a member of the Students' Federation of India (SFI), became president of the

Since her election as JNUSU president, Ghosh led students' protests on issues like fee hike and Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

Aishe's parents, Debashish and Sharmistha, have always supported her. While speaking to TOI after attack on her daughter in the JNU campus, Aishe's mother said she was proud of her daughter.

"I am proud of my daughter. She is a fighter and will continue her struggle," said Sharmistha.
