A leopard sighting at the Bihta Air Force station in Patna has led to the suspension of Chhath celebrations at a nearby temple. Authorities are monitoring the situation and assure residents that Chhath will be allowed if the leopard is captured.

Railway safety steps for Chhath devotees

East Central Railway has directed stations in the Dhanbad division to implement safety measures during Chhath Puja when devotees cross railway lines to reach Chhath Ghats. The caution period will last 20 hours, from 2pm on November 7 to 10am on November 8.

3 ghats declared unsafe in Ara

Bhojpur administration has declared three ghats – Bhaluhipur Chhath hat, Begampur Chhath ghat and Mirachak Chhath ghat – dangerous for performing Chhath puja in Ara. Officials inspected all the Chhath ghats in Ara Saturday night.

105 Ganga ghats prepared in Patna

Altogether 105 Ganga ghats, 63 ponds and 45 parks in Patna have been prepared to facilitate the ‘vratis’ during the four-day Chhath festival starting on November 5.

Shame to the Indian Railways that devotees of Chhath Puja do not get chance to travel in comfortable way in spite being of regular feature round the year this time. This is the plight of Hindus in the country which is shameful.
