Prajwal Revanna not the 'only one'
The JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna is at the center of a scandal. He's accused of exploiting and making videos of women over many years. The Karnataka government has set up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to look into the allegations. This incident has sparked a blame game among politicians. However, this isn't the first time a politician has been accused of using their position for sexual favors. There have been similar instances in the past.
ND Tiwari
In 2009, N D Tiwari, a senior Congress leader, resigned as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh following an expose that purportedly showed him in compromising situations with women at Raj Bhavan.
Raghavji
In 2013, former Madhya Pradesh minister Raghavji was arrested after being accused of sexual abuse by his domestic help.
Ramesh Jarkiholi
In 2021, a CD involving state water resources minister Ramesh Jarkiholi was found to be in circulation and it was alleged that he had sought sexual favours from the woman in exchange for a job. Police have yet to verify its authenticity.
HY Meti
In another instance, excise minister HY Meti was accused of seeking sexual favours with explicit videos featuring him with various women doing the rounds. He was cleared of the charges later. Not to mention the various instances of MLAs checking porn while sitting in state assemblies.
