AAP promises financial aid for security guards to enhance safety in Delhi's RWAs ahead of elections

NEW DELHI: AAP has promised financial assistance to RWAs (Resident Welfare Associations) to hire private security for their colonies if re-elected to power.

Making the announcement, AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal stated that the specifics, including the amount and the number of guards per colony, would be decided later.

"While the police cannot be replaced, security guards can provide basic safety within residential colonies. Our government has already installed CCTV cameras across the city, which play a significant role in apprehending criminals," Kejriwal said. He added that financial aid for RWAs to enhance security is one of the guarantees offered by AAP ahead of the assembly elections.

Voting in Delhi is scheduled for February 5, with the counting of votes set for February 8.
