Woman, 36, found hanging, murder suspected

RUDRAPUR

: A 36-year-woman, Neetu Chawla, was found

hanging

from the ceiling of her room in

Singh Colony

in Rudrapur.


Neetu’s brother, Amit Chhabra, a resident of Shanti Vihar Colony, has accused his brother-in-law Anil Chawla, of murdering his sister on Wednesday.

According to the woman’s brother, Chawla was an alcoholic and thrashed his wife. He alleged that Anil had strangled his wife and was trying to make it appear like a

suicide

.

Police

said that there were injury marks on the body.
