UTTARAKASHI: The district administration has launched war-level rehabilitation work in the fire-affected

is going to visit the affected village on Sunday.

“The owners of 40 houses which were burnt completely will get an assistance of Rs 101,900 each, whereas owners of six partially burnt houses which will get Rs 5,200 as compensation. The administration will also compensate for the loss of cattle in the incident,” said Uttarakashi district magistrate

He added, “The administration is also going to organize a multipurpose camp at village on Sunday. Officials will prepare new copies of the essential documents which were destroyed in the fire. Chief medical officer has been directed to bring pregnant women to the nearest health center, whereas medical assistance will be provided in village to old and sick people.”

Meanwhile, villagers of nearby areas have stepped forward to help the victims. Villagers of Jakhol, Satudi, Sankari, Dhatmeer and other villages have reached with cloths, food grains, cash money and other= essential needs to the Swadi village.
