DEHRADUN: Light to moderate rainfall, thunderstorm along with hail occurred at isolated places of
Uttarakhand
in the last 24 hours, according to the regional meteorological centre. The weather office has predicted the same at isolated places on Saturday.

Chamoli district received 30mm rainfall, while 10mm rainfall was recorded at Shama, Gangolihat and
Berinag
each.
Besides, hail was reported in Chakrata area of Dehradun district. According to the Automatic Weather Station (AWS) data, the isolated places in Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts experienced squall and gusty winds, at a maximum speed of 50-60 kmph.
"Several places in the state received light to moderate rainfall in the last 24 hours, while some places witnessed thunderstorm activity," said
Bikram Singh, director, regional meteorological centre.
Very light to light rainfall/thunderstorm is likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh districts of Uttarakhand on April 16, Singh said.
