On the third day of investigation, the SIT visited the private hospital where the nurse worked, interrogated staff and collected information about her. Two SIT teams were dispatched to Bareilly and Badaun districts in UP "to collect further evidence".

The case has sparked controversy, with the victim’s family challenging police's disclosure as "false" and demanding a CBI inquiry. Protests have also erupted at various locations in response. In light of these developments, SSP Manjunath TC formed a 20-member SIT to thoroughly investigate the matter.

The SIT has been actively gathering evidence. On Wednesday, they questioned over 20 employees of the hospital, where the deceased was employed, and continued with their inquiries on Thursday.

SIT in-charge (SP city) Manoj Katyal said, “We are in the process of collecting evidence and preparing to apply to the court for the accused’s remand.”

Meanwhile, the Indian Medical Association, Rudrapur, held a meeting and criticised the handling of the case.
