DEHRADUN: Even after winning 47 of the 70 assembly seats in the
Uttarakhand election, BJP is set to review its poll performance, particularly in the 23 seats where the party lost.
Observers have been tasked with the review work and are likely to submit a consolidated report with "feedback from the ground".
"From March 29, the party's organisation will review the performance in 23 assembly seats where it did not get results on expected lines. BJP office-bearers have been tasked to go to these constituencies and hold meetings with local party workers before April 1. They are asked to submit a report to the party's state headquarters," said Manveer Singh Chauhan, BJP's state media-in charge.
In all, 12 office-bearers have been appointed to review the 23 segments. For instance, Suresh Bhatt has been given the responsibility of Haridwar rural and Laksar, while
Suresh Joshi will go to Udham Singh Nagar and review Nanakmatta and Kiccha.
Before preparing their report, the observers will hold at least three meetings with local party workers -- group, team and discussion. A consolidated report will be submitted on April 1, a senior party member said.
