Dehradun: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to launch a mega-election campaign in

Uttarakhand

from February 1, with public gatherings planned in all 70 state assembly seats, senior party leaders said on Sunday.
Prahlad Joshi, BJP’s election in-charge for Uttarakhand, said, "Star campaigners will come to Uttarakhand to canvass for the party and its candidates." These include Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar and Himachal Pradesh CM Jai Ram Thakur. They will be part of an event where the party’s poll song will be released on February 1.
Joshi said LED TVs will be set up at 10-15 locations in all 70 constituencies so people can listen to leaders addressing public gatherings, keeping in mind Covid guidelines.
"Home minister Amit Shah, defense minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP chief J P Nadda will be campaigning for the party in Uttarakhand," Joshi added.
The state BJP unit has sought Prime Minister Modi's time for campaigning in Uttarakhand, he said. "He has agreed to campaign for the BJP in Uttarakhand but the modalities will be finalised in line with the Election Commission's guidelines," Joshi said.
Calling the Congress party the 'Indian National Confused Party', BJP's election in-charge said, "Congress party leader Rahul Gandhi has made it a confused party, which is why Harish Rawat, who wants to be chief minister of the state, was confused about the seat he wanted to contest from."
