Authorities on alert in Nainital

Nainital district magistrate Vandana has issued instructions to additional district magistrate Ashok Joshi to have all departments be on alert, as heavy rains batter the state, especially the Kumaon region.

Families that are in danger of being affected by rain-related incidents have been asked to be shifted to safer places. Officials deployed at several spots across the district have been asked to update the situation every two hours.
