DMK stages protest against NEET

Coimbatore: The DMK on Sunday staged a day-long hunger protest against the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). They sought the Central government to abolish the exam in Tamil Nadu.
DMK cadres gathered at Sivananda Colony, raising slogans against the BJP-led Union government for imposing NEET on the state. It was part ofa state-wide protest.
The protest saw participation of members of the youth and student wings of the DMK.
Former MLA N Karthi told the media that the protest would continue till the exam was scrapped in the state.
