Two techies among seven held with meth

Chennai: Police have arrested seven men, including two IT employees and a BPO worker, on charges of possessing and peddling methamphetamine. Anti-Narcotics Intelligence Unit were acting on a tip-off about movement of synthetic drugs near Madhavaram truck terminal. The team, with the Madhavaram police, rounded up the group and arrested seven men G Ajay, 26, of Avadi; S Rahul, 26, of Pallikaranai; K Satish Kumar, 32, of Velachery; S Muthurajan, 29, of Pallikaranai; U Nistol, 27, of Padi; N Shamim Firthouse, 31, of Mannadi; and M Purushothaman, 23, of Pallavaram.According to police, Ajay works at a car showroom, Satish Kumar and Muthurajan at an IT firm, and the rest at a call centre.
