TN minister seeks aid for disabled from Centre
The minister urged the government to extend benefits under the Indira Gandhi Disabled Pension Scheme (IGDPS) to all the 5.17 lakh beneficiaries, apart from extending the entire financial assistant of 1,500 a month to 5.8 lakh beneficiaries enrolled in Tamil Nadu.
District guardian minister for rehabilitation for disabled people
District guardian minister Dada Bhuse suggests municipal corporation and Zilla Parishad to run disability rehabilitation schemes wisely. The minister emphasizes on promoting self-reliance of people with disabilities. Civic bodies must allocate 5% of their funds for welfare schemes. Funds should be used for individual benefits and infrastructure development. Divyang Bhavan in Nashik will soon be inaugurated, providing comprehensive services for people with disabilities.
No beneficiary in Raj of loan scheme for women
According to a Lok Sabha reply, there have been no beneficiaries in Rajasthan under the New Swarnima Loan Scheme of the NBCFDC in the last two years. In 2020-21, 553 beneficiaries in the state benefited from the scheme. The scheme targets women belonging to backward classes with an annual family income of less than Rs 3 lakh. The beneficiaries are not required to invest any of their own money in projects up to Rs 2,00,000. The interest rate on the loan is lower compared to the general loan scheme of the corporation.
Minister urges Centre to release National Health Mission fund arrears
Health minister Veena George requested Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya to allocate Centres share for National Health Mission (NHM) without delay. The co-branding process has been completed, but funds are being withheld. Emergency services and salaries for residents were provided using state funds. The Centre has approved cash grants but only the first instalment has been provided. The states share has been made available without interruption. Projects are moving forward using the states allocation. The minister also requested funds for various categories.
