Police said Sundar, 38, received a message on WhatsApp on Monday saying he could enjoy escort services of women from different states in exchange for a fee. The message contained a contact number for Sundar to reach out to. Sundar, who went to the location, was physically assaulted by three men who snatched his valuables, including cash, and fled.

Based on Sundar’s complaint, police identified the trio as M Karthik, 25 of Madurai, B Ajithkumar, 25 of Teachers Colony, T Nagar and M Kirubasankar, 22.
