Tamil Nadu CM M K Stalin to meet PM Narendra Modi in Delhi today

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Friday. He left for Delhi on Thursday evening.

The meeting will take place at 10.45am. The chief minister would present a memorandum seeking assistance from Union govt on various heads, sources said.

This is the first visit of the chief minister after the Modi govt got a third consecutive term.

The chief minister last visited the Prime Minister in December to urge the Centre to release disaster relief after heavy rain wreaked havoc in Chennai, its neighbouring districts, and Tirunelveli and Tuticorin.

During his one-day visit to the capital, Stalin is likely to pay a visit to the residence of late CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury, who died last week after a prolonged illness.
