IIT-M opens admissions for online BS degree programmes

Chennai: Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, has opened applications for its four online BS degree programmes, including data science and applications, electronic systems, management and data science, aeronautics and space technology.These programmes are open to anyone who has completed Class XII, with no age restrictions. Students can pursue these programmes either as a standalone qualification or alongside a regular college degree. The last date to apply is May 31. Professor Prathap Haridoss, dean (academic courses), said, "These BS programmes are designed to give students flexibility without compromising on quality. We are seeing a growing need for learners to build strong foundations in data, technology and interdisciplinary thinking, regardless of their primary degree.""These programmes allow students to access IIT-level learning while pursuing other academic or professional paths, thereby significantly enhancing their career opportunities," he added.Students pursuing B Com, BSc, BBA or engineering degrees can simultaneously enrol in these programmes, allowing them to strengthen their analytical, technical, and other capabilities in their core domain.
