Brawl among inmates at Puzhal prison

Chennai: Three inmates at Central Prison, Puzhal, were injured in a scuffle that broke out between two groups on Wednesday. According to police, an inmate named Immanuel, 21, who was sitting outside his cell, was confronted by two other prisoners Surya, 23, and Nithin Kumar, 23 from Kavankarai.
Things turned worse when a few others joined both sides.This resulted in chaos inside the prison for 15-20 minutes. Officials suspect that the confrontation could have been due to ganja sale in their area. A probe is on.
