AU prof bags best presentation award

professor

in the department of agricultural extension, Annamalai University, T Raj Pravin bagged the best presentation

award

for his research paper on using ‘artificial intelligence to combat natural vagaries in coastal Tamil Nadu’.

International crop research institute for semi-arid tropics (ICRISAT) director general (acting) Peter Carbeery and deputy director general Kiran K Sharma presented the award to Pravin at the valedictory session of the two-day plant symposium hosted by the ICRISAT.

Researchers, extension professionals and research scholars participated in a competition on using artificial intelligence in solving climate change issues for farm scientists during the symposium.

The best research concepts were called for presentation before the scientists and Pravin bagged the best presentation award.

The symposium, which was jointly organized by the agricultural wing of Dow Dupont, discussed in detail on plant breeding, new biotechnologies and innovative approaches to overcome biotic and abiotic stresses.
