AIADMK exodus continues as 3 former ministers, 10 ex-MLAs join TVK
CHENNAI: The exodus from the AIADMK continued on Saturday, with several senior leaders joined the ruling TVK. They joined the party in the presence of party general secretary N Anand.
Former AIADMK ministers Udumalai K Radhakrishnan, Kadambur C Raju and M C Sampath are the latest to join the growing list of defectors.
The trio, along with their supporters, arrived at the TVK headquarters in Panaiyur joined the ruling party along with 10 ex-MLAs.
Their induction comes amid a steady stream of leaders and cadres shifting allegiance to TVK following its rise to power.
The latest defections are expected to further weaken the AIADMK's organisational strength in regions where the three leaders wield considerable influence.
Party functionaries said more leaders from opposition parties are likely to join TVK in the coming days.
