STF production warrants for dismissed inspector

Mohali: The Special Task Force (STF) has production warrant of sacked CIA in-charge inspector Inderjit Singh, who is an accused along with dismissed AIG Raj Jit Singh in a drugs related case. STF will bring Inderjit, who is in jail, on a production warrant on September 18. Inderjeet was dismissed from service in 2016, after he was arrested by STF and 4kg heroin, Rs 16 lakh, an AK-47, and other arms and ammunition were seized from his official quarters in Phagwara. tnn

Arguments on ED plea for production warrants put off

The special court for money laundering cases in Panchkula has deferred the arguments on the enforcement directorate's petition for production warrants of Roop Bansal, director of M3M realty group, until Wednesday. Designtech founder dismisses CID charges

Vikas Khanvelkar, founder chairman of Designtech company and co-accused in the Skill Development Scam case, released a video denying all the allegations against him and the project. He claimed that the project was executed professionally and provided evidence of the equipment and services provided. Khanvelkar also stated that he has never met Chandrababu Naidu and has not given money to anyone in the current or previous government.

Pakistan SC upholds Benazir coup convictions, pleas by sacked army duo dismissed

Pakistan's Supreme Court has dismissed the pleas of two former army officers who were convicted for plotting to overthrow the Benazir Bhutto-led government in 1995. The court upheld their sentences and stated that the action against them was justified under the Army Act. The officers had argued that their trials were an abuse of process, but the court rejected this claim. The main accused in the case were convicted earlier, with charges of planning to assassinate Bhutto and other officials to establish a corruption-free government.
