STA, child rights commission inspects sector 7 school
CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh
During the inspection STA Chandigarh challaned two buses for violation of various provision of STRAPS.
It was found that CCTV cameras of some buses were not working. The school authorities shared that the cameras are under repair. Principal was asked to ensure that all the CCTV Cameras are made functional within two days, sais Harjinder kaur, chairperson CCPCR.
It was also found there was no rest room fixed for drivers and lady bus attendants. Principal of the school was advised to make provision of separate rest rooms for staff of buses and lady attendants within the school campus in a way that it should not be attached with main school building and must have toilet facilities separately for males and females.
Chairperson of the commission was accompanied by Dr Monica M Singh, Member, CCPCR, Kartar Singh, Law Officer CCPCR, Arvind Dhawan, Senior Assistant, CCPCR and Chanchal Singh, RTE Consultant, CCPCR along with a team of State Transport Authority Chandigarh.
