CHANDIGARH: In a move aiming to promote tree conservation by spreading awareness about different tree varieties, trees planted in various gardens under the jurisdiction of Chandigarh municipal corporation will soon have a QR code-based informative boards.
The MC has written to the Punjab Engineering College (PEC) to start a pilot project in its major gardens and parks.
The pilot project will start from Rose Garden in Sector 16, Fragrance Garden in Sector 36, Japanese Garden in Sector 31, Terraced Garden in Sector 33 and Shanti Kunj in Sector 16, MC officials said.
