SAD, BJP slam AAP govt over Moga firing
Chandigarh: Terming it a "sinister move to destabilise Punjab", Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Wednesday slammed the Aam Aadmi Party govt in Punjab over the incident of firing on migrant labourers in Moga."After complete lawlessness and Gangster Raj, a new conspiracy seems to be afoot to destabilise Punjab. This firing on migrant labourers in Moga is enough to understand the sinister move," Badal posted on X.
He further wrote: "The @AamAadmiParty govt — under @ArvindKejriwal's remote control, chief minister @BhagwantMann, and their notorious ‘Saam, Daam, Dand, Bhed' strategy — are directly responsible for this state of affairs.""Urgent steps are needed to tackle this situation — before AAP's ruthless tactics turn Punjab into a permanent battleground of division, coercion, and chaos (sic)," he added.Reacting to the incident, Punjab BJP president Sunil Jakhar asked the AAP-led govt to "wake up from its slumber" and act against the forces creating division and disrupting law and order in the state.Jakhar posted on X: "In Punjab, businesses were previously being targeted, due to which no new industry was willing to come here, and now in Moga, an incident occurred where migrant workers from outside were targeted as part of a conspiracy. This is not Punjabi ethos."He further stated: "Some people have been spreading poison in society on this issue for a long time, whereas this is completely contrary to the philosophy shown by the Guru Sahiban. These migrant workers also make a very significant contribution to Punjab's industry and agriculture.""This is an extremely condemnable act. The Bhagwant Mann govt should wake up from its slumber and show the courage to take action against the forces that are creating divisions in society and disrupting the law and order situation," the senior leader added.MSID:: 128208079 413 |
