Ram Leela, Dussehra, Durga Puja, Diwali fest committees told to follow Covid-19 protocol

With the start of the

festival season

in the new normal the authorities are liasoning with various Ram Leela, Dussehra, Durga Puja committees to ensure all Covid-related guidelines or directions are followed religiously.
On Thursday evening, the

UT cops

met various members and organising teams of such events to discuss the matter. The discussion was also on Navratra events and Diwali festival. SP City Vineet Kumar along with SDPO East and SHO Sector 26 PS, had a detailed discussion with the participants. They also discussed security aspect besides highlighting UT administration's guidelines related to Covid-19.

While wearing masks and maintaining social distancing was highlighted extensively, the point that every person entering should be checked with thermal scanners was also discussed in detail. The cops also mentioned about sanitizers, soaps and water facilities which should be there at the entry points of the religious places. The important guideline of avoiding big gatherings and thorough sanitisation of religious places also came up during the discussion.
