Sources said the faculty member who has been accused of the post had sent a written complaint to the police about his account being misused. “The

PMO

had directed the

ministry of health

and family welfare to ask the PGI to constitute a committee and investigate the matter,” said a

ministry

official. He said, “The response sent by the PGI was found to be unsatisfactory.”

The PMO reacted to the incident after a complaint was received that had alleged a faculty member had posted hate comments against the government’s policy. The complainant had shared screenshots of the posts which were sent from the personal handle of the faculty member in his letter. The PGI has yet to constitute a committee to investigate the case.

The faculty member had denied the allegations and informed the PGI authorities that he had deleted his account more than a year back. He had mentioned he had been keeping busy in Covid treatment and care and had no time for social media.
