Police take out flag march in Batala
Amritsar: In view of the upcoming civic body elections, the Batala police on Thursday carried out a flag march under the leadership of SSP Batala Mehtab Singh. The SSP said the flag march was conducted as part of election preparedness to ensure peace and security during the civic polls.He added that the march started from Gandhi Chowk and passed through various parts of the city before concluding at the SSP office. The SSP said that adequate security arrangements had been put in place for the elections, and no anti-social elements would be allowed to disturb the law and order situation during the polling process.He further said the Batala police was conducting regular naka checking in different areas of the city to keep a close watch on anti-social activities. The police administration remains committed to ensuring the safety of life and property of citizens, he added.Appealing to the residents, the SSP urged them to exercise their right to vote freely, without fear or inducement, and to report any issues to police authorities for prompt resolution.
