Petitioners’ rights should be protected: HC

Chandigarh: On a petition filed by owners of the Berkley Square with the Punjab and Haryana High Court against notices issued by the estate office and UT environment department, the high court has prima facie observed that the manner in which multiple notices have been given on different grounds and rights of petitioners need to be protected. After hearing Chetan Mittal, senior advocate and Kunal Mulwani, counsels for the petitioner as well as the respondent, Chandigarh Administration, the high court stated that though the petition was premature, the estate officer was directed to supply all documents, in particular the report of the Chandigarh Housing Board which in spite of the order passed by the estate officer on August 18, has not been supplied. tnn
