Minerva Academy clinch state futsal title

Chandigarh: Minerva Academy FC were crowned champions of the 4th State Futsal Club Championship, sealing an emphatic 7-3 win over PIS FA in the final to complete an unbeaten run.

The side dominated the tournament with an average of seven goals per match. They opened with a 7-3 victory over International FC, followed by a 7-4 win against Punjab Tigers FC and a 7-5 triumph over Shergill FC to reach the knockouts.

In the semi-final, Minerva defeated Overtime Football Academy 7-5 to book their place in the summit clash.

The final proved their toughest outing, with Minerva trailing 3-2 at half-time. However, they mounted a strong comeback, scoring five goals in the second half to turn the match around and lift the trophy. The team netted 35 goals in five matches, underlining their attacking dominance throughout the campaign.
