Manjinder Sirsa is BJP national secy

Chandigarh: BJP national president JP Nadda on Tuesday appointed Sikh leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa as the party’s national secretary.
Sirsa had resigned from the membership of the Shiromani Akali Dal in 2021 citing personal reasons and joined the BJP. Sirsa joining the party fold was then seen as a shot in the arm of the BJP with him being a prominent face of the Akali Dal in the national capital.
Former MLA from Delhi’s Rajouri Garden, Sirsa was twice elected as the president of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee – in 2013 and then in 2019.
