Man booked for molesting minor stepdaughter

Chandigarh: Police registered a case against a man for allegedly sexually molesting his 12-year-old daughter. The girl’s mother informed the police, who registered a case under relevant sections of BNS and the Pocso Act. The accused has been on the run since.

The complainant said her husband died around four years ago and she remarried a resident of Panchkula around one year ago.

She said her second husband used to molest her daughter, who told her about it a few months ago.

The accused apologised to her and assured that he would not repeat the act but she caught him red-handed a few days ago, the complainant said. Raids are on to nab the accused.
