IIT study reveals alarming change in groundwater quality in Punjab
NEW DELHI: A study by researchers aimed at tracking changes in drinking water quality in Punjab from 2000 to 2020, has revealed alarming changes in groundwater quality in the state. Data analysis revealed deteriorating water quality in the southwestern region of Punjab, which has led to serious diseases like cancer and comparatively better quality in the northeast.

Punjab is the state which is using most of the fertilisers and pesticides for their crops, per hactare land and ultimately residules of these chemical fertilisers and pesticides in going to ground water.Read allPost comment
