F&CC nod for devp work worth lakhs
Chandigarh: The Finance and Contract Committee (F&CC) of the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation approved various developmental agenda items during its monthly meeting, which was chaired by mayor Anup Gupta and attended by all five members and senior officers, including municipal commissioner, joint municipal commissioners and chief engineer etc.During the meeting, the committee discussed and approved upgrade of the flooring in front of the showrooms at Sector 21 C and D, Chandigarh, which is the mayor’s ward. The work is expected to be done at a cost of Rs 43.82 lakh. Committee members also approved agenda items like repair of broken railings on sector dividing roads of sectors 31 and 32 at an estimated cost of Rs 1.84 lakh.The committee approved provision and fixing of pipe benches in various parks and green belts of Sector 41, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs 4 lakh, provision and fixing of pipe benches in parks, green belts and gardens of sectors 36 and 42, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs 19.31 lakh, providing garden lights and street lights at Modern Housing Complex, Manimajra, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs 15.18 lakh, fixing high electric pole in front of House No 691, Dhobi Ghat, facilitating high mast lighting in the green belt behind Dhobi Ghat, Sector 7A, fixing 4.5 meter poles, high mast lighting and LED globe lights in place of defective bollards in Sector 7 and augmentation of garden lights in the green belt near #139-40, Sector 8-A, Chandigarh at an estimated cost of Rs 36.87 lakh. tnn
