Chandigarh: Activists of both Chandigarh Congress and Chandigarh BJP celebrated the party’s victory in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat at Sector 35 Congress Bhawan and Kamalam in Sector 33 respectively on Thursday. Congress and BJP leaders and workers danced to the beats of drum, raised victory slogans and distributed sweets.
Thanking the Congress workers from Chandigarh who campaigned for the party in Himachal Pradesh last month, Chandigarh Congress president H S Lucky expressed the hope that the party would find its winning ways from Himachal Pradesh.
Talking to media persons, senior party leaders D D Jindal and Harphool Chand Kalyan said that Himachal Pradesh would show the country how to promote communal harmony, brotherhood and pluralism.
On the other side, many leaders and workers of the BJP, including mayor Sarabjit Kaur celebrated the saffron party’s victory in Gujarat by offering sweets to each other.
