Chandigarh: Punjab finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Monday said the Bhagwant Mann govt was committed to resolving the issues concerning the employees.Cheema, who is the chairman of the cabinet sub-committee constituted to resolve employee grievances, held meetings with five different employee unions of the education department on Monday to deliberate on their issues and demands."The meetings, aimed at fostering a constructive dialogue, underscore the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab govt's commitment to systematically address the welfare and concerns of its workforce," said the minister.During deliberations, senior education department officials apprised Cheema of the current administrative status regarding the unions' demands and the ongoing actions being taken to address them.After reviewing the department's position, the minister directed the education department officials to expedite the administrative processes to resolve the unions' legitimate demands swiftly, ensuring timely relief and support for the employees.Representatives from each union were given a patient hearing to articulate their primary demands. The meetings took place in the finance minister's office in the Punjab Civil Secretariat.
The sessions were attended by representative delegations from the Berozgar PSTET Pass Art and Craft Sangharsh Union, the Unaided Staff of Aided School Front, the Murh Bahal Kacche Adhiyapak Union, the Meritorious Teachers Union and the Berozgar BEd TET Pass Adhiyapak Union.MSID:: 131587780 413 |
