BJP only delayed and misled for 5 years, Congress will complete recruitments: Ex-CM Hooda
CHANDIGARH: Former chief minister and Leader of Opposition, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, assured the unemployed on Sunday that all pending recruitments, including those for the Police, Group-D, and all CET groups, will be completed promptly once the Congress government is formed.
He made this significant announcement in response to the demands of the youth who have been continuously agitating for the completion of these recruitments. He also assured that those selected will be given immediate joining as soon as the Congress government is established.
While speaking to youth from across the state in New Delhi, Hooda urged them not to be discouraged by the delays and scams under the BJP. He encouraged them to intensify their exam preparations, as the Congress government is expected to be formed in the state soon.
"Congress will complete all the pending recruitments of the current government without delay. Additionally, the process of 1 lakh new recruitments will commence immediately after the Congress government is formed and will be completed within the first year," he promised.
"By eradicating the paper leak and recruitment mafia, Congress will ensure that all recruitments are conducted purely on the basis of exams and merit. To facilitate this, Congress will implement a proper recruitment process and job calendar. These initiatives will also be included in the party's manifesto," he assured.
Hooda emphasized that Congress understands the struggles of the youth, whereas the BJP has consistently delayed recruitments, misled, and forced the youth to engage in lengthy court battles for the past 10 years. "The BJP is now attempting to deceive them even as it exits, but the youth have now seen through the government's deceptions," he said.
"Far from making recruitments in 5 years, the BJP entangled the youth in CET. The BJP had promised to conduct CET every 6 months, but in 5 years, it managed to conduct CET only once because it had no intention of providing jobs. It only sought to give the youth a toy to play with during elections. That’s why the government kept recruitments hanging until the elections, sometimes using CET as an excuse, and at other times by leaking papers as part of a conspiracy. But now, the youth will not have to wait any longer. Addressing all their demands will be a priority for Congress," he stated.
The Leader of the Opposition reiterated that the BJP is continuously spreading false propaganda regarding Kaushal Nigam because Congress has announced that once it forms the government, workers engaged under Kaushal Nigam will be regularized through a strong policy.
"Furthermore, better salaries will be arranged for them. After this announcement, the ground slipped from under the BJP’s feet, prompting it to hastily make a false announcement about regularizing skilled workers. If the BJP had genuinely intended to do so, it had a full 5 years, but it did nothing," he said.
"During the previous Congress government, temporary workers were made permanent through 3-year and 10-year policies, but the BJP did not implement any such policy. The BJP is trying to grab the votes of skilled workers with empty promises. Congress has provided permanent jobs in the past, and it will do so in the future as well," he promised.
On this occasion, the youth expressed that the patience of unemployed candidates waiting for jobs has worn thin, and they now have hope only from Congress, as it has announced plans to make 2 lakh permanent recruitments for vacant posts. They added that all the youth will unite and vote for Congress this time.
