AAP govt delivering pro-people schemes: Mohali MLA
Mohali: Intensifying campaigning on the final day for the municipal corporation polls, Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh Sunday said the Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab govt was implementing a range of pro-people schemes across the state.
The MLA addressed meetings and corner gatherings across several wards, canvassing support for AAP candidates, including Kulwinderjit Kaur (Ward 7), Sarabjit Singh (Ward 42), Arvinder Kaur (Ward 5), Satvinder Singh Mithu (Ward 26) and Jasvir Kaur Atli (Ward 27).
Addressing gatherings, Singh alleged that previous regimes had pushed Punjab towards decline, while the present government was working to revive the state through welfare initiatives. He said the government had initiated a “health revolution” by upgrading hospitals, adding equipment and recruiting medical staff.
He highlighted the rollout of Mohalla Clinics, claiming nearly 1,000 such facilities are now operational across Punjab, offering free consultations, medicines and diagnostic tests. He also cited the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme, which provides treatment coverage up to ₹10 lakh, with 35 private hospitals empanelled in Mohali district.
The MLA further pointed to the provision of free electricity as a major relief to residents and said the government’s policies were ensuring inclusive development across Punjab.
