3 bike-borne men rob Hisar commission agent of ₹4.25 L

Hisar: A commission agent was attacked by three unidentified robbers, who took away Rs 4.25 lakh from him, in Hisar’s Shastri Nagar on Thursday, police said. The victim, Ashok Kumar, 55, is an arhtiya of Baksha Ram & Company, New Sabzi Mandi, Hisar, who is currently undergoing treatment for his head injuries at a hospital. According to reports, Ashok was taking the money to deposit it in bank. He was attacked near Peer Baba temple in Shastri Nagar. Soon after receiving information, DSP Kaptan Singh and police station in-charge Balwant reached the spot and launched an investigation. The accused, it has been learnt, were captured CCTV cameras while attacking the victim and decamping with the money. Injured Ashok can also be seen trying to chase the robbers in the footage. Local traders’ leader Bajrang Garg, who arrived at the hospital to meet Ashok, criticised the government over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. He claimed that that not only Hisar, but entire Haryana has become a hub of criminals. “Even those who had demanded ransom of Rs 20 lakh in Uklana have not been caught yet. There is an atmosphere of fear in the business community as well as the general public after the incident. The businessmen are not safe even during the daytime,” he added.

4 missing students rescued from Hisar

A special police team in Jaipur successfully rescued four school students, including two girls, who had fled from their homes after skipping school. The parents of the minors reported their disappearance, and the police conducted searches at various locations. The children were eventually found in Hisar. The parents had become concerned when the children were absent from school and went to inquire about their whereabouts. The children had left to enjoy themselves after skipping school.

JJP keen on Bhiwani, Hisar seats in LS polls

Ajay Singh Chautala, founder of coalition partner JJP, has stated that they will stake a claim to contest from the Bhiwani and Hisar parliamentary seats in alliance with the BJP. Despite the BJP's announcement of contesting all 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana independently, Chautala asserts that they are part of the NDA coalition and will contest the upcoming elections together. Chautala also expressed interest in contesting from the Bhiwani constituency.
