23-year-old ends life in Manimajra

CHANDIGARH: A 23-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling at his rented accommodation in Manimajra on Thursday night. The victim is Ravinder. He belonged to Uttarakhand. He had arrived to the city two days ago.

He was living with a friend. Police said the incident came to light when his friend reached the room at 9 pm. Cops said no sucide note was recovered from the spot. No external injury marks were found on the body, cops said. A case under Section 174 of CrPC was registered.

Police said they are recording statements of the victim’s friends, family members and colleagues to ascertain reasons behind the death.
