Govt rejects Sujata Karthikeyan’s plea to extend leave

Bhubaneswar: The state govt on Tuesday rejected the leave application of IAS officer Sujata R Karthikeyan for another six months and asked her to join on Wednesday.Sujata, who is the wife of bureaucrat-turned-BJD politician V K Pandian, was on child care leave from May 31. Manoj Kumar Mohanty, additional secretary in the general administration department, wrote to Sujata, mentioning that her leave application "is not acceded to" and requested her to re-join. Sujata, a 2000-batch IAS officer, is currently posted as special secretary in the finance department.
