Mobile health service aids several in Odisha district

Vedanta Aluminium’s Mobile Health Service (MHS), launched in May 2024, has reached over 3,300 individuals in 18 villages in Rayagada district, Odisha. The service has conducted over 120 health camps, providing medical check-ups, blood sugar tests, and free medicines through its Mobile Health Units (MHUs).

The MHUs, staffed by doctors and paramedics, aim to address healthcare needs in remote areas. Regular health camps are held to promote awareness and preventive measures.

Local ASHA worker Basanti Bagh acknowledged the importance of the MHS, noting its essential role in providing medical services to remote areas. Villager Sakar Majhi also expressed appreciation for the initiative, calling it a valuable resource.

The initiative is part of Vedanta’s broader CSR efforts, which have impacted over 200,000 people in more than 100 villages across Odisha.
