Bhubaneswar: Odisha skill development and technical education department has directed principals, teachers and other officials assigned to NEET-UG 2026 duties to begin preparations for the upcoming re-examination scheduled on June 21.
Biswaranjan Rath, the additional secretary, on Tuesday informed the selected govt polytechnics at at Balangir, Balasore, Berhampur, Bhadrak, Dhenkanal and Jajpur, and industrial training institutes (ITIs) at Balasore, Rourkela and Berhampur that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination on June 21 (Sunday) from 2 pm to 5:15 pm.
According to the letter, principals, teachers and other officials had earlier been designated as centre superintendents and examination functionaries for the NEET-UG examination. In view of the re-examination, the department has asked the personnel concerned to remain stationed at their respective headquarters by June 19.
The officials have also been instructed to participate in a mock drill on June 20, a day before the examination, to ensure smooth conduct of the test. The department emphasised that all designated personnel must discharge their assigned responsibilities on the examination day and remain present until the completion of all examination-related activities and formalities.
