Bhubaneswar: The higher education department has sought the approval of the Odisha Mineral Bearing Areas Development Corporation (OMBADC) for implementing seven infrastructure development projects worth Rs 45 crore on the main campus of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University in Baripada.

Odisha State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation

(OPHWC), which is the implementing agency, has prepared the tentative cost of the projects. According to the plan, a new academic building will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 18.07 crore. This (G+2) building will accommodate anthropology and tribal studies, business administration, wildlife and biodiversity conservation, computer science, BEd and MEd departments.

. This centre will conduct research on flora and fauna of

Similipal

national park and tiger reserve. Three blocks of B-type quarters (G+2) will be constructed for non-teaching staff at an estimated cost of Rs 5.4 crore. Each block will have six quarters. An amount of Rs 2.65 crore will be spent for extension of the library building.
