Woman booked for assault

Bhopal: A video of a young woman allegedly slapping and assaulting a man outside a café in Govindpura went viral on social media platforms on Thursday. Based on the video, Govindpura police summoned the man for questioning and later registered a case on charges of assault against the woman.According to Govindpura SHO Awadhesh Singh Tomar, the complainant, a resident of Gautam Nagar, alleged that the incident took place on Sept 11 while he was sitting outside a café. He further alleged that she was provoking him to commit suicide and was threatening him to implicate him in false case. SHO Tomar said that police have registered a case on charges of assault against the woman seen in the video following the complaint and the viral video. The matter is under investigation.
