While city may face fog, parts of state brace for rainfall
Bhopal: While Bhopal is likely to face fog, parts of state are slated to receive rainfall at isolated places across 15 districts on Tuesday, Met said.Officials said on Monday that thunderstorms, lightning and fog may also occur in parts of the state. In Bhopal, the sky is likely to remain partly cloudy, with chances of fog during the early morning hours.
Met officials said there was no significant change in minimum temperatures across the state in the last 24 hours. However, minimum temperatures were above normal by 1.7 to 2.5 degrees in districts of Indore, Rewa and Jabalpur divisions, appreciably above normal by 3.1 to 4.3 degrees in districts of Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Gwalior, Shahdol and Sagar divisions, and markedly above normal by 5.1 degrees in districts of Ujjain and Chambal divisions.The maximum temperature in Bhopal on Monday was recorded at 28 degrees, around 1.2 degrees lower than Sunday's 29.2 degrees. Met officials said weather conditions are being closely monitored as western disturbance-related activity continues to influence parts of the state.As per the weather forecast for Feb 3, isolated rainfall is likely in Morena, Bhind, Gwalior, Sheopur, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Vidisha, Rajgarh, Agar Malwa, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhattarpur, Sagar, Damoh, Panna, Satna, Rewa and Mauganj districts. Besides this, thunderstorm activity accompanied by lightning may occur at isolated places in Vidisha, Rajgarh, Agar Malwa, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Shivpuri, Sheopur, Rewa, Satna, Damoh and Sagar districts, Met officials said.They added that moderate fog is also likely at isolated places in Gwalior, Bhind, Datia, Morena, Panna, Chhattarpur, Tikamgarh and Niwari on Tuesday. During the last 24 hours, rainfall was recorded at isolated places in Ujjain, Gwalior, Chambal and Sagar divisions, while the remaining divisions remained dry. Maximum temperatures rose appreciably by 2.1 to 2.2 degrees in districts of Bhopal, Gwalior and Chambal divisions, with no significant change recorded in other parts of the state.
