Lok Sabha elections 2019: RSS begins field work for 100% voting to fuel NaMo campaign
BHOPAL: RSS has already mobilised its units, right down to the Khand (tehsil) level, to ensure 100% voting in Lok Sabha polls. And national security is the
Sangh karyakartas have already begun their field exercise through public contact. Sources said that RSS’s ‘NaMo’ campaign, online and offline, is based on its database of more than 10 crore voters in saffron-dominated states. The campaign covers 1 crore voters in MP. The aim is to ensure BJP-led NDA gets at least 300 seats.
“Our nation will have elections in the coming months. It is necessary that 100% voters exercise their franchise. The development of nation is possible only by a group that is committed to the unity and integrity of the nation. Therefore, it is our national duty to be alert and to discharge our responsibility in the election process,” RSS deputy Bhaiyyaji Joshi had said at the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha in Gwalior last week.
As a part of the strategy, RSS has mobilised its units in all three prants — Madhya Bharat, Malwa and Mahakaushal — in Madhya Pradesh. Letters have been issued to volunteers to highlight security issues. “External forces, with the help of some anti-national elements, are indulging in violent incidents. The attacks on the camps of Army and defence forces, attacks in border areas by Pakistan Army, the recent Pulwama terror attack, are very tragic. Nobody should take our tolerance as a sign of weakness,” said a senior RSS functionary.
“The Sangh Parivar has lauded the combined efforts of the NDA government and society against evil forces. It is necessary that the government takes stern action against anti-national forces and people should feel secure. The present government is taking praiseworthy efforts in this direction,” he added.
RSS Madhya Bharat publicity in-charge Omprakash Sisodiya said, “There is a clear objective — to encourage voters to exercise their franchise. RSS has clarified its stand on Ram temple and Article 370, which are sub judice. Hence, creating awareness to ensure 100% voting will help society think more for the betterment of the nation."
