Woman shot by nephews over land dispute, critically injured

Bhopal: A woman was shot at and injured by her nephews in a land dispute in Gwalior on Wednesday. The incident took place near Kota Ki Sarai on Jhansi Road.Girija Devi, the victim, was going to light a lamp at a nearby Hanuman temple when her nephews, Sonu and Monu Gurjar, arrived on a bike and began to harass her. A heated argument ensued, which soon turned into physical violence. Despite attempts by neighbours to intervene, the nephews fled, threatening to return.True to their word, Sonu and Monu returned and opened fire on Girija Devi. One bullet struck her, causing her to lose consciousness. The attackers then fled the scene. The family rushed Girija Devi to a nearby hospital, where she remains in critical condition.Police have registered a case of attempted murder against the accused and are actively searching for them.
